Our experienced expedition first aid instructors use practical, hands-on training to provide emphasis on being self-reliant, improvisation with the kit that you have, and dealing competently with both life-threatening and run-of-the-mill situations in locations where evacuation may be protracted. This remote medical course, as the name suggests, is focused on the needs of those who work or travel away from help where they feel the core skills gained in outdoor first aid or workplace based courses will be insufficient for the situation they are in.

The training is designed for people going on expedition, working on remote sites or field trips who have standard expedition first aid equipment with them (as opposed to rescue team equipment). As with all of our training we use the expertise of our trainers as remote medics and expedition leaders in order to make the training as relevant as possible to your needs - be it you are attending one of our open courses as an individual or if we are putting together a bespoke course for your organisation.

The course is certified by REC at level 4E and extends the basic, core first aid skills.  It is targetted at those with recent first aid training and as It is necessary to be competent with the basics, in most cases we will ask that you have completed a 16 hour basic outdoor first aid course within the past 3 years.

If you have any questions or are not sure which course would suit you best, please feel free to get in touch.
